Bow templates can be so fun and so easy to use! If you haven’t checked it out, my very first bow template (post can be found here) I created over a year ago way back when I was still blogging on another platform. The template is one I posted to Pinterest and man it got a lot of traffic! So when I moved over to this blogging platform, I decided to bring it along.
But since that was over a year ago now I decided to give it a fresh update. This version has the same easy to use format, but with the “tails” in a slightly different position. To make this cute bow you will need the following:
- Bow Template (found here: Leather Bow with Tails Template)
- Leather, felt, foam, paper or some sort of non-woven (meaning it won’t fray when you cut it) material. I used leather for the bow in the photo.
- Hot Glue Gun
This project is really easy to make. The bow in gray on the template page will be the finished size of your actual bow so you can check for size. Cut out all the template pieces and trace them onto the back of your leather/foam/paper. Then with a dot of hot glue, secure the two long ends of the bow on the center back. Then take the rectangle and wrap it around the bow, securing with a dot of glue on the back. Then take the bow and glue it to the top of the ribbon tails. And done! So easy, fast and cute. Just the way I like my crafting projects 🙂
Have you tried this? I’d love to see your creations!
