Reversible Tank Dress

Summer is in full swing and I have another pattern ready!  This darling little number started out as a happy accident.  If I had a blog that documented my sewing/crafting/baking failures it would have 3 times as many posts as this one.  I started this pattern last year and didn’t get around to sewing it until now (good thing I already graded the sizes).  I had intended for this pattern to be made of knit fabric, with the armhole and neck to be sewn with a knit binding.  Except for one thing: I forgot how terrible knit binding is to sew on a home machine.  I couldn’t get any of my protos to work out, but didn’t want to give up on the cute silhouette.  So I tried it in a reversible style and it worked!  I love this idea because you really get 2 dresses in one.  And if you are out and about and your little one spills you can always just turn in inside out!  Just kidding.  (not really)

This style has a tank front and a slight racerback cut in the back armhole.  The neck and armhole seams are shared, while the bottom hems are separate for a nice easy drape.  It comes in sizes NB, 3-6M, 6-9M, 9-12M, 12-18M, 2T, 3T & 4T. You can download the pattern from Etsy here.
